"Congratulations on your very powerful presentation at the Women Advisors Forum.  I was so impressed at your ability to put into words the inexpressible emotions of a new widow.  You are doing incredible work in helping advisors understand how they can best help women who have lost their partners."

Below is an excerpt from Kathleen’s Moving Forward on Your Own Workshop for Widows, Wives & Friends. This was filmed at a presentation for 96 Apollo Beach Woman's Club members.

As an award-winning author and speaker, Kathleen empowers her "widowed sisters" to feel more secure about their financial future.
She also assists professionals to work
more effectively with these women.

Dr. Rehl is a leading authority on the subject of widows and their financial issues. She is frequently invited to give presentations across the country on this topic—to women’s groups and advisors who assist widows.

Kathleen’s world changed forever when her husband died. Five weeks later her widowed mother also passed. From her personal grief experiences, Kathleen’s life purpose evolved—helping widows to feel more secure, enlightened and self confident about their financial matters. She is passionate about assisting her “widowed sisters” to take control of their financial future.

Her loss motivated Kathleen to write Moving Forward on Your Own: A Financial Guidebook for Widows. She and her book have been featured in dozens of popular magazines, newspapers and professional journals. These include The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s, Advisor Perspectives, AARP Bulletin, U.S. News & World Report, Consumer Reports, Investment News, USA Today, Bottom Line Personal and many others. The guidebook has received 10 national and international awards. The U.S. Army uses her book also.

She is an educator at heart, stemming from her work as a university professor years ago. Now her “classrooms” include conferences, professional meetings, non-profits, congregations, women's circles and more.

Yes, Kathleen has walked the walk about which she speaks and writes . . . focusing on women who have loved and lost, helping them to move forward on their own . . . yet not alone.
